Breast Cancer Medicine Tracker

I have been having a blast playing with this Elisha Jean and Friends from The Cutting Cafe Shop!

Today's project is an altered frame that will be used like a white board.

The sheet inside, is a sheet that is included in the My Journey To Survival Printable Set from . It is a medicine tracker. I was so excited to see this set! It was exactly what I needed to complete this gift for my chemo buddy

I got the idea to do this while I was taking care of my sister after the surgery she had to remove the tumor in her lung. I was the one administering her meds at home. Since I am super forgetful I needed to write down what I gave her and when. She had a weekly menu board made out of picture frames that I wrote on with a dry erase marker.

The Elisha Jean and Friends stamp set comes with three super adorable little girls.
They are perfect for any occasion.
I love that I can paper piece there clothing.

I created the flower arrangements using flowers from Lavish Laces and a couple that I made myself using the Paper Flower Template and Cutting File from The Cutting Cafe

The butterfly is an embellishment from Renea's Bouquets.  I also used
Prima Color Bloom Spray Frost from Renea's Bouquets on the dark pink roses I made.

Copics used
Skin: E0000, E000, E00, E21
Hair: E29, E25, E21

My Journey Breast Cancer Book

Hi everyone! It's time for some inspiration from The Cutting Cafe DT.
This week we are working with Album-Books. There are SO many choices!
I chose to do the Journey Word Book

I went with a breast cancer theme for this because I am a Chemo Angel
It will make a great gift for my chemo buddy!

This was super easy to put together.
What started out as 12x12 sheets of cardstock quickly transformed into a pretty booklet.
From start to finish it took about 3 hours.

The base is made out of Bazzill cardstock.
It's super thick, but cut easily in my Cricut Explore on the Fabric+ setting.

The breast cancer papers came in a mambikit that I ordered off Amazon.
It came with stickers as well.

I also used ribbons and other embellishments that one of my crafty friends gifted to me =)

Here's  a look at the pages...

This image is from KennyK Stamps. She is a Breast Cancer Fighter Digi Stamp, although she could be used for any form of cancer or other diseases.

This image is Fight For A Cause Digi. She goes perfectly with this hair is overrated sticker! You can find her in Sherri Ann Baldy's Etsy Shop

Thank you all for stopping by today! Please stop by The Cutting Cafe on the 7th to see the rest of the projects from the DT. If you leave a comment on the inspirational post you will be entered in a chance to win 3 free Cutting Cafe files of your choice.

Also, if you are interested in becoming a Chemo Angel or want to read more about what that is you, can find that information HERE. I have been a Chemo Angel for a little over a year now. It is such an awesome program to be a part of.

Have a great day!

Bible Journaling with My Besites

I've been secretly admiring bible journaling for awhile now. I have been intrigued by all the beautiful pages and messages. At first I kinda struggled with the idea of doing art in a bible. Is it disrespectful? Is it defacing the bible?
As I asked myself these questions, while looking at people's bible journaling pages, I decided that if I was reading, studying, and doing this to glorify God then it was ok. So, I went out and purchased a bible just for bible journaling.
For my first bible journaling entry, I read Romans 12:9-12:21.
Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. 10 Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves.11 Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. 12 Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. 13 Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.
14 Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. 15 Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn. 16 Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position.[c] Do not be conceited.
17 Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone. 18 If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. 19 Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,”[d] says the Lord. 20 On the contrary:
“If your enemy is hungry, feed him;
if he is thirsty, give him something to drink.
In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head.”[e]
21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

After I read and studied these scriptures, I used a clear stamp from the My Besties Shop called Butterfly Kisses to put the image on the page. I then colored in the sweet My Bestie with Copic markers. As I was coloring I was thinking about the scriptures I had read. I re-read them several times.
When I was finished coloring, I wanted to add something more. There were  many words in these scriptures that stood out to me. I decided to write the words around the page that had touched me...
Love
Pray
Hope
Good
Overcome
Patient
Honor
Share
Rejoice
Serve
Be joyful
Bless
Harmony
I am not a reader. I never have been. I wanted to start reading my scriptures and needed a way to make it more interesting to me. Bible journaling not only made reading my scriptures fun, it made me remember what I read. I had these scriptures in my head for days.

Thinking Of You

Hi everyone!
I have a card to share with you today using one of Ady Almanza's beautiful dolls.

I love Ady's dolls. I thought this one was perfect for a thinking of you card.  You can find more of Ady's images in her etsy shop, AdyAlmanzaDolls.

Those tiny, adorable flowers are from sweet friend Missy. She made them! She sent me some in six different colors. I'm such a lucky girl =)

The thinking of you sentiment is a stamp in the Everyday Elisha Jean and Friends stamp set, from The Cutting Cafe Shop

I colored the image with Copic markers.
Skin: E0000, E000, E00, E11, E21
