My Bestie Steampunk Layout

Hello! Hello! Hello! It's FINALLY Christmas! You can now sit back and breathe =)

Today I have another 12x12  Steampunk layout to share with you using Scan001 Steam Punk Bestie.

The beautiful lace is from Lavish Laces

I colored her with Copic markers.
I am really liking this green and brown combo.

I have had the G for this cut out for ages...at least a couple years. I was happy to finally put it to use.

I wanted to give the it a new look. I added texture using Matte Gel, ran my heat gun over it until it was dry, then painted Rusty Paper (purchased at Miriam's Crafting Supplies) on it with my finger.

I really like how it turned out.

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas everyone!
I wanted to pop in and share my first Christmas card for 2016.
That's right...I am getting started early. I am hoping that I will be able to give out only handmade cards to our family and friends next year. If I make a couple cards a month, that should be doable.

This gorgeous image is from Ady Almanza. You can find her Etsy shop HERE

I colored her with Copic markers.

The sentiment comes from the December Word Shaped Card. You can find this file and much more at The Cutting Cafe

Thank you for stopping by. I hope you all have a wonderful holiday!

Christmas Cards With The Cutting Cafe

Hello crafty people!
It's inspiration time over  at The Cutting Cafe. This week we are featuring Christmas projects.
I can't tell you how thankful I am for Regina and her files!  I was all done making Christmas cards...well, I thought I was done. Then my husband came home and said I need you to make me a card for my boss. Ok, no problem.
So I made the card for his boss...

The card is made from the present shaker from the Christmas Shaped Shaker Cards set. The embellishments were a gift from my sweet friend Julie.

Then, last night, he asks me what cards we are giving to his friends. I told him that they get one that I bought. "WHAAAAATT?!?!?" He said in a high pitched squeaky voice.
Which leads me back to, I am SOOOO thankful for Regina and her awesome files!
These cards come together in no time at all.
That works out perfectly since that's the exact amount of time I have.

Here are two cards I made using the December Word Shaped Card

Papers from J&S Hobbies and Crafts

Here's a couple more I made using the present shaker from Christmas Shaped Shaker Cards set.

The little girl is a My Bestie colored printabe 3D sheet named Fancy Pants.

I used the Believe Word Shaped Card for the sentiment on this last one.
The little Santa bag is made from fabric scraps and stuffed with a cotton ball.

I was able to put those awesome chipboard pieces on every card I made.
Thank you very much for the great gift Julie!

Now I'm done making Christmas cards...AGAIN.
Hopefully my husband does not have anymore last minute cards!

My daughter Kylah made some super cute cards for this design team assignment too.
You can see her projects on her blog HERE.

Embellishments from...

Thank you for stopping by today. Be sure to visit  The Cutting Cafe on the 21st to see the rest of the design team projects. If you leave a comment on the inspirational post you will be entered in a chance to win 3 Cutting Cafe sets of your choice. Don't worry if you don't have a cutting machine. The files come in PDF form so you can make them by hand.
Have an outstanding day!

Faery Ink Christmas Card

Hello crafty people! Hope you are all doing well.

This cute little image on todays card, is from Faery Ink. Her name is Coco Marshmallow Fae.

I have fallen in love with Faery Ink images!
I colored this one up for the challenge going on the Faery Ink Facebook group.
My green Copic marker kept bleeding and dripping as I was coloring.
I have a few markers that do that. I did my best at covering up the drips.

The gold patterened paper is from the awesome Classic Christmas Traditions paper pack designed by Shellie Geigle. You can find the Christmas pack and more of her papers at J&S Hobbies and Crafts

The beautiful white and gold ribbon is from Renea's bouquets.

Thank you for stopping in today. See you again soon!

My Bestie Steampunk Layout

Hi everyone! I am up on the Scrapbook Stamp Society with another Steampunk layout.

For today's layout I used IMG602 Steamin Stella . I LOVE this gorgeous image!

She is colored with Copic markers.
The big gears are from Renea's Bouquets. This is seriously one of my favorite places to buy embellishments.

I am having so much fun with these Steampunk images.

I used Rusty Paper (it's kinda like paint) on the edges of the paper and the tare.

The flat back pearls are from Glitz N Glam Girly Boutique.

Thanks to Sherri and all her awesome Steampunk images,
I will have my husbands scrapbook done in no time!
Thank you very much for stopping in. Have an awesome day!

Reindeer

Hello! Hello! Hello!

It is time for inspiration from The Cutting Cafe design team. This week we are working with the fabulous Christmas Treat Cup Cards. I decided to do something a little different with the file today. I Chose one of the sentiments that come in the set and made a wreath...

The sentiment printed out at just the right size to hang around the neck of the reindeer that my husband and I made.

I cut about a million of those tiny little branches with my Cricut, inked them with Tim Holtz gathered twigs and mowed lawn distress inks and then glued them on to the back of the sentiment from the Christmas Treat Cup Cards

After the glue was dry, I added the bow and bells and then put Snowtex on the wreath and reindeer.

We made the reindeer out of the scraps we had left over from making my curtain rods. Yep, I had my husband make me curtain rods out of little trees.

I love this little reindeer! Think my husband will be willing to make about 7 more? And a sleigh? Maybe if I be REEEEALY nice.

Be sure to stop by The Cutting Cafe on the 7th to see the projects from the rest of the DT. If you leave a comment on the Design Teams inspirational post you will be entered in a chance to win 3 free Cutting Cafe files of your choice.

Just for fun, here's a picture of Kylah out at the Reindeer farm in Butte, Alaska.

My Bestie New Release Party Dec 3rd

Hello everyone! Sherri Ann Baldy is having another new release party today on her Facebook page. You won't want to miss out on these adorable images!

Here is the card I made for today's release. When I saw this image I got so excited!
She is the perfect little "Alaska Chick."

My Bestie IMG911...you can find her in the My Bestie Shop.

I  colored her with Copic markers.

I got the Step Card file from The Cutting Cafe
There are 3 different styles of step cards that come in this file.
I chose to use the 1 front step card.

The moose, igloo, and sign are all images in Cricut Design Space. I put Snowtex on the card to give a snowy look to the igloo and trees.

I had so much fun creating this Alaska scene.
Note: We really don't live in igloo's up here. Although our first year here we (and by we I mean my husband. He is a big kid at heart.) did build a snow cave and sleep outside in it...CRAZY...I KNOW!

Here's a few pictures of my crazy bunch in the snow cave...

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you will join us for the new release party!
Have a great day!
